With the Oldenburg broodmare Sambarin (by Sion - San Vicente), which we acquired in foal, the first broodmare moved into the Behrenshof in 2006. Her daughter Samba de Janeiro by Sir Donnerhall took her place and in the meantime we already have beautiful daughters from the 3rd and 4th generation in the stable.
In the years that followed, we bought more high-quality fillies and initially gave them to Upmeyer Farm in Melle-Suttorf to be reared before they were broken in and used for breeding.
In 2011, a new open stable was built with space for 6 young horses and broodmares. This was followed in 2013 by the construction of an indoor riding arena, which is used together with the spacious riding arena to exercise the broodmares and train the young horses.
At the end of 2014, the old stables with 6 boxes were converted into a pure foaling stable with five very large foaling boxes. The attached stable wing with a further 9 large boxes for mares and training horses was inaugurated at the beginning of 2017
2021 our image film was created, in which we reveal a little more about our philosophy and our farm. We show you how we live and work with our horses on the Behrenshof. Have fun watching!
